Tonight I have a lovely queen bed, TV, and computer with internet all in my room. And I'm not even paying all that much. I found this place on a hostel website. The family that lives here has 2 rooms they rent out, and when they don't have long-term tenants, they take on daily ones at a pretty good rate. There is a bit of a catch. Two kids. Y'all that know me know I do not do well with the little ones. But these 2 are pretty cool kids. I was slaughtered in a game of Uno with one, and played Barbies for about an hour with the other. I have a hard time saying no. Needless to say, I didn't get much knitting done. But they fed me dinner, and I escaped to my room early enough to watch a really bad movie, so I am happy.
I've been in a weird, kinda crappy mood the last couple of days. Probably partially because I chipped a tooth real bad, and I have to find a dentist tomorrow. Blech. And it's gonna be a cheap one, and I hate cheap dentists. When the world's largest ball of twine failed to do a thing for me, I decided I needed to do something to change my mood. 100 fast balls later, I felt pretty good. Batting cages rock. And then I treated myself to a fab hostel room. Feeling better already. And tomorrow will take care of itself. Dentists and gainful employment. Blech.

Your sister says you need cheering up: Everything will be OK! You'll find a nice, gentle dentist! You'll get time in the next little while to knit! You'll find a roadside diner with awesome pie somewhere! Don't fret. :)
