It's starting to get a wee bit cold. No snow yet, but you can feel it not far off. Last night was my weekly hostel stay, and I started thinking about whether or not I would really be able to withstand snow in my cold little bed. I was talking to one of the people that work there, as well as the owner about it. She has a place for $300 a month, that she rents monthly. That made me think. If I took it now, then I would have it for when it got real cold. And in 1 month, minus the rent, I should have more than paid off my tooth. Tempting.
Even more tempting was when she called me later to discuss the possibility of a night auditor type job. I would be "on the clock" about 36 hours a week, mostly overnights. For that, I would get a room in the hostel for free. I have got my fingers crossed. Imagine; no lease, no rent, they already know that I will be moving on as soon as I have saved enough. A dream come true. I will be talking to her later tonight.
If it doesn't work out, I may take the other room. A month is a little longer than I was planning on, but my plans are rather tenuous at best anyway. I was considering it on the way to work today. While considering, I was almost hit twice (not my fault at all). So fate obviously is trying to tell me something. But what? To get out of Dodge, fast? Or to stay off the roads? I just don't know. We'll see.
Almost forgot; my tooth is now fixed, and I am $500 in the hole. Yay, and wah. To console myself for my numb face, I sought out a yarn store and got a fix. I am ready to start my next tank top, when I am finally done with this one.

Beth,
Thank God you are not planning to stay in the truck when the weather gets cold. Even the animals get to come in the barn on cold nights!! Glad you got your tooth fixed. Be careful out there!

I'm glad your tooth is fixed; sounds like the Universe is helping you out with several options. Take care, and stay warm!

Hi Bethany, I can't imagine being in MN right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for the room & job at the hostel.
