Come see what Beth's up to! She's living in her pickup truck (lovingly known as Tach), and rambling the byways and backroads of America. When she has money, that is. When she runs out, she stops and gets a job until she can drive on again. Stop in here, add your comments, and wish her the best. And heck, if you have a driveway, can she sleep in it?
Yay, made it through the night undisturbed. This job rocks.

Bethany, heed my advice. If you think it's cold in MN now, you should make plans to leave before the end of December.
I'm so psyched you got the hostel job, though! It sounds pretty sweet--lots of cable TV and knitting time.
Oh, and another place to go, to fulfill the nostalgia kick of someone you've never met: Brit's Pub, on Nicollet and 12th (or 11th) in downtown Mpls. Especially if you like British beer. It had started to turn into the ultimate in yuppie bars by the time I left, so it might be really annoying (and expensive?), but they have tons of British beer and cider, and a portrait of the Queen above the fireplace...and the best damn artichoke dip I've ever had.
OK, one more thing and then I'm done: Go to Christo's if you want really good Greek food that's fairly reasonably priced (at least, it used to be). That's also on Nicollet but past Uptown going the other way (somewhere in the 30s).

Am I annoying you yet? :)
