It's been a while, so here's my new and updated map. Look at all that damn red!! Unfortunately there's still a lot of white, too, and I'm on my way home. Sort of. In a manner.

I'm heading for that last northern state right now. It's really damn hard to get myself to move, though, when I have a nice comfy bed, warm kitties, and nice people. Tonight will be my first night back with Tach in over 4 weeks. And I'm sorry to say I am not looking forward to the bonding experience. It rained a lot last night. I'm picturing a soggy bed.
But Maine is calling. Actually SF and Montana are calling louder, but Maine is that annoying little buzz in the background saying, "me first, me first!" And hoo boy, do I have a list of yarn stores to hit when I get there. Like I need any more yarn.
The yarn I got at the factory doesn't have any labels, but I identified the one I am going to use for my aran is called Wings. I looove it. It's so soft and warm, and CHEAP. Man, I'm a cheapskate.
I had Poutine for breakfast this morning. Mmmm. Fries with cheese curd and gravy type stuff, with some sort of meat usually. Mmmm. I don't think I'll have to eat again for a year. French Canadian food at its best. Mmmm.
Okay, gotta go now if I'm going to go. So go I go. Go, Beth, go.

Hey gal, did you just drive through Nebraska or did you stop anyplace fun? (Home state...)

Wow, that meal sounds intense. My dainty vegan self would have probably passed out if I came upon you eating that. I did have a cheese curd once (post vegan, shhh!) because the proferrer, a native Wisconsinite, insisted I had to hear it squeek while chewed. Did your breakfast curds squeek? They were probably muffled by the "gravy type stuff." You are quite the culinary adventurer.
