Beth Visits America

  • bethmap.jpg

  • Come see what Beth's up to! She's living in her pickup truck (lovingly known as Tach), and rambling the byways and backroads of America. When she has money, that is. When she runs out, she stops and gets a job until she can drive on again. Stop in here, add your comments, and wish her the best. And heck, if you have a driveway, can she sleep in it?

I hope you whispered 'I'll be home tomorrow' so Tach isn't miffed by all these months thinking that not only was a bed provided but a different view from the bedroom window arrived regularly but there you were eating, knitting, writing, snoring - oh taht'd be me I think.

Cool arrival in every sense of the phrase. Europe next?!, I have the exact spot for you both to park up :0)

home sweet home, eh? congratulations on the great wanderjahr! you're my inspiration... and to paraphrase old Bill, the road can sure be a harsh mistress.. but didn't you tame her?

I love this post, Bethany. I'm from a small town, so I know exactly what you're talking about. Not a "wave," as such -- just a lifting of the hand, a flash of the palm. Suddenly I miss that.

And now you're home! What an amazing thing you've done. Your map of the states is truly impressive. (Perhaps Canada is next?) Be proud of yourself, trucklady.

amy

Wondering that myself ;) If Canada and the Great White North are next.. You can come park Tach here in BC anytime..

Know you are itching to get home, you deserve a break and some familiar territory. Thanks for letting us all come along on your journey, I've really enjoyed hearing about your adventures. I know in time you are going to understand what an incredible journey you have made.

Ah Beth,

I can't wait to see you in just a few days. Luck to you on your last day as an itinerant wanderer.

Love you, glad you're coming back

ann

have you ever been to Ireland? Rather than giving a complete wave, the people there will lift their index finger while the rest of the hand still grips the wheel!
