don't feel like a title.
Whoof. I have been such a lump. Unwilling to budge from my bed in order to knit, go online, even take a whiz. Winter hibernation? Or just a good excuse?
I managed to go to the library and grocery store, and make some passable fudge today, and that's the most I have done in a week. I haven't even been getting up to put a CD on. What a lump.
Okay, so in the interest of getting out of my slump, I shall try to focus on happy things. Let's see... weather. Actually, that's not really a happy thing. Unless it makes a sharp turnaround and actually starts snowing in the next 48 hours. I want a white Christmas, damn it!
I've actually been seeing some of the winter weather beauties that aren't associated with snow. We've had a few amazing mornings with a thick mist or fog clinging to the valley, with the mountain tops peeking out the top, in pale violet skies. Fog so thick and cold that when you drive into it, it freezes on your windshield. And the woodsmoke smell throughout it all.
So it's pretty. That's as cheery as I feel today. Catch me tomorrow, I have homemade fudge and a bottle of champagne, and I intend to make myself merry.

Ah, chica, sorry you're down in the dumps. do you have a computer hookup at the house yet? if so, skype is a totally free internet phone service good to reach anywhere in the world. Let me know and I'll send you the hook up (i think i sent it once but, duh, am zoned out)...Sometimes the long narrow stretches will get to you, ya know? Am pulling for you...Merry GretzMoose!!!

I suppose if you have a day off you can just drive northeast until you hit snow. Or head to the nearest skiing mountain, where they'll at least have the machine-made snow for you.

Glad to see you've surfaced...feared that poop episode might have pushed you over the edge... :) Sorry you're in the doldrums...happens to the best of us. Although it's been my experience that fudge goes a long way in taking the edge off, so to speak. :)
Just wanted to wish you merry, merry. Thinking of you in MT...and hoping you get a white Xmas if that's what you so desire. Best wishes for a wonderful '05.

Chocolate cures everything!!! And keep an eye out at the post office since you do a box that should be there any day now with some stuff to make you feel better. Enjoy the holiday with some more chocolate!

Hi, Beth--Betcha you're gonna have a twelve days of Christmas when the mailman reaches the St. Regis P.O. these coming days. Right now the wind is making the backyard pepper tree dance all directions at once...think I'll go put a couple more boards between the chicken and the wind. Funny chicken...she just molted during a cold spell, got her feathers in just in time for a warm streak, and now is about to lose them again in a blowout...I should learn to knit so she could have a chicken cosy! Sending you holiday cheer thoughts to help fill the gap til parcels overflowing with more tangible cheer arrive. Sleighloads of love, Gaynelle
