Cracking open the Sofia Coppola Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine (let's just call it champagne, shall we? Flout the Treaty of Versailles). It comes with its own straw! Champers in a can! Just the thing to celebrate, don't you think?

Raising my morning cuppa to you from the other side of the world. I know what it feels like to type those words and what a major accomplishment it truly is. Go girl!

That's classy!

I've cracked open one of the Sofias a few times myself in the past year. The perfect can o' celebration. Congrats!

With its own straw? That has to be a mark of quality!!

Congratulations! And looks yummy.

You look my son with his juice box after school. It's all about the celebration!

Oops - that would be "look like my son"

Internal copy editor seems to be off somewhere having fun.

Cheers! Bien fait! Fait Accompli! Champagne pour l'artiste!

Sweetheart, Mazel tov! But for this kind of accomplishment, may I suggest that you treat yourself to a glass? With a stem? It will taste that much sweeter!

Congratulations! I raise my cuppa coffee & chocolate cookie to you and your literary accomplishment.

Champagne in a can? With a straw? How have I not heard of this before?

Congratulations! Celebrate!

Excuse me while I slip into an English colloquialism for a moment...

You classy bird you.

WOOHOO! I've never seen champagne in a can with a straw . . . it's like a juicebox for grownups! (must. find. now.)

That is a seriously great idea.

Congrats on writing THE END! And, its so great to see you back in top form from the surgery from hell.

I love that stuff. It's so fun. And, of course, it's PINK!!! With a straw!

Congrats! Mazel Tov! I have yet to finish my first draft of my play two years in the writing. . . Course, I've been battling illness, bedbugs, mites, and multiple moves! I have to move again at the end of the month - but MUST have a 1st draft by my residency beginning of Nov.

Get some real champagne - at least some veuve - you deserve it!

Love to La and all the animals,
xo Moira

Slainte and congratulations! The End is a lovely phrase to type. Glad you're basking, enjoy that in-the-clouds feeling!

Not to be nit-picky and all, but it can't be called champagne unless it comes from the Champagne region of France. Much like Bourbon. I never knew this about Bourbon but my husband told me. Heh. Men would know about booze, right? From http://www.straightbourbon.com/whatisbourbon.html

"Though technically Bourbon can be made anywhere, Kentucky is the only state allowed to put its name on the bottle. And as Kentucky distillers are quick to point out, Bourbon is not Bourbon unless the label says so."

Learn something new every day.

Other than that, yeah, pink sparkly wine? Partay!

Whoo-Hoo!!! What an accomplishment!

Someday I hope to be able to write "The End" on a novel.

mmm, I just checked our soft drink machine here at the office and didn't find any Sofia Coppola Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. Bummer.

Yay! Congratulations!
P.S. The tank you made looks fantastic! Perhaps once I'm not so full of baby, it should jump onto my needles, too. It's very flattering on a fuller bust, so it may go with the nursing mother shape I'll be taking on soon.

Hooray on the novel! Hooray on champers in a can!

Speaking of celebration...It has been weeks since we had a proper Digit update! How is the miracle cat? Still growling at his bum?

bubbly is definitely indicated. And I love the fact that it comes in a can. Now to find me some...

Celebrating with champagne. Good idea. My vintner husband would be very disturbed by it being in a can, though.

Oh! It's Eva's favorite! Yum!

The straw is my favorite part! I actually had this at a fancy restaurant once (straw and all) -- I wish I could find it here!

I keep asking for that my local liquor store- what is more apropos than champagne in a can for good old rural America?

Pink almost-champagne in a can? I don't think we have that here in Iowa!

Have never heard of that drink, with a straw no less! My only concern is that it will give future author a headache come morning ;) Congrats on finishing the book, so proud of you!

Champagne in a can with a straw? I knew you were my kinda chick.

Congratulations! I knew you could do it! Now on to the publisher.

Yay, Rachael! Congratulations!

Big CongaRats on the novel! WhooHoo! Clapping wildly!...and strange coincidence, I sat in my camper with bestgirlfriendforever MK just the other night and popped my VERY FIRST (ahem..and second...) Sofia Coppola...and had to use my KnitPicks Options needle to dig the telescoping straw out...We told the kids mommies were drinking grape juice...lol! OK...AND...now you have convinced me I need a Coachella for my Las Vegas trip next month! Off to download the pattern now!
