Wow, she is doing great!

I love SLO. I almost decided on Cal Poly but instead went to Davis. All worked out, met the hubby. :)

Well at least she has the good drugs that let her giggle through it.
Still sending thoughts daily.
For you too.
:)

Thoughts/cheers/prayers with all of you... Wish I could be there!

I used to drive out there, every day, thinking about my future life, about boys, about girls, about writing. Never, ever, ever did I think I'd be driving out there on a June morning, my mother in a bed somewhere behind me, my wife on a bike somewhere in front of me.

Don't you just love those moments when timelines collide?

Otherwise, I'm so proud with you for Lala's accomplishment. And I'm there with you by your Little Mama's bedside. I don't always know what to say, but I'm thinking of you.

Y'all made me all weepy.

Yay for Lala, and yay for Mom's good drugs to make her feel good enough to giggle. And yay for being long-winded - this is a great post!

life is funny like that, eh? sending you soooo much love and hugs and light. and that 'you' is, as we say down south, for all ya'll...especially the birthday girl...

Go Lala! WoooooHooooOOOOOOO!

And good sleep for you and your mom. Peace.

I saw the riders when leaving a playgroup at Avila Valley Barn. It never fails to make me tear up seeing them. If you need anything while you're here in AG, pop me an email. We've got a great fat therapy kitty. :)

You both rock. Hope your mom is feeling ok today.

What a wonderful update! Makes me feel like I'm there right with you and Lala. Makes me remember the last day of the Breast Cancer walk in 2002. It's the Multiple Myeloma ride and the AIDS ride and all those challenging and life-affirming walks/rides. Those who can, do. And Lala is doing it so well. So are you.

You and your wife are just the AWESOMEST!

Yay for Lala! Her ride is such an accomplishment. You and Lala are such amazing, compassionate people and really, yours is the only blog I read that makes me cry! I am so sorry to hear about your Mom, my boyfriend's Mom died last year and he and his brothers and sisters cared for her at home, so I get what you're going through. It's very difficult, but one of the best gifts you could ever give her! I'm sure she's proud of the woman you have become and is happy you're there with her (along with your sisters!) Keep up the good work!

Long-time reader from the east coast, here. To say that you and Lala are inspiring would be accurate, but eeeesh, the cliche! So I'll say instead that you've got to be two of the awesomest people on the planet. Seriously. You've both got the concept of rocking at life down pat.

*clapping and nodding* Keep it up.

Go LaLa, Go!!! This is so amazing!

Man, am I dense! Until I saw the pictures with today's post, I was thinking that Lala was riding a MOTORCYCLE for this thing. That sound tiring enough. The thought of being on a regular pedal bike for a week truly is insane. But I bet her legs are sexy :-).

Glad your mom got a little giggle. At times like this, the little things are huge.

Your wife is amazing, your mama is amazing, you're amazing. I'm proud and happy and hopeful all at once for you guys.

Congratualtions to Lala for a job superfantaboulously welldone!!!!!!!!!!!

XOXOXOX to you all and a happy b-day to mama

Yayyyy for Lala! ::Hugs:: for you and your mom. Seems like Lala's strength is radiating everyone, including you both. Awesome!

Go, Lala! And I'm very glad your mom has the good drugs and the good support. I haven't commented before, but I've been thinking of you and your mom and sending all the good thoughts I can.

So I totally should have done this before the ride, but I just now made a donation for Lala's efforts. How amazing is she for riding from SF to LA.

I also just wanted to let you know that I was still thinking good thoughts for your mama. I am glad you are able to spend so much time with her. :)
