your mom's memorial is making me cry. all the best to you and lala and the rest of your family in 2010

I wish you and Lala the best year ever: lots of happiness, health, and prosperity!

there are a lot of bowling alleys in chicago. i'm just sayin.

your october just made me cry.

love you, girlie. hope to see you and lala in 2010, it's been too long.

Lebowski Fest always has a night of bowling. It is a total freaking trip. I think it is in June. Google it. I think you and Lala would LoLove it!

what a fantastic year! I'm so glad you share it with us, girlie. Can't wait to see what 2010 brings for you and Lala and yer posse. xoxoxo.

All the very best in 2010.

Love, g

best best best most unexpected wonderful adventures & love to you always!!!

Happy new year to you, too!

Happy New Year, Rachael & Lala! May all goodness and joy rain down on Chez HeHu...

cathy

Have I ever told you that I won a bowling trophy? Just give me a call!

2009 was, in the end, a great year; true the unwanted passenger diagnosis came but work was fantastic - finally becoming a GP specialist trainer and, of course, finding you.
better 2010 to you and yours from me and mine kiddo!

Your book's on-sale date is my birthday . . . guess what I'm asking the Birthday Fairy for!

Happy New Year.

You rock (and Lala, too). Happy New Year to you all!

Happy New Year! I hope the coming year brings you lots of joy.

"Really? You might never get this chance again."

I think I might just have to make that my motto this year.

Good words to live by when you're feeling scared.

Happy new year Rachael!!

Awww.

We scattered my grandmother's ashes off of Cape Cod, because she wanted to swim back to Norway. So yeah.

You and Lala are still more than welcome to stay with us if you're coming out for MD Sheep & Wool...

Massive hugs. Huge.

I live in the Haight in SF (of course) and swear I saw you and your wife on a two-dollar bill attached to the tip jar of Escape from New York Pizza. Was it you and your lady?

Wonderful recap! And bumpers are the way to go (says the Queen of Gutterballs) when you start your bowling career so you don't get discouraged while you figure out those little aiming arrow thingys at the top of the lane. If you bring a small kid with you no one even looks at you funny if you use the bumpers. ;) Since my b-day (the big 50 this year) is Feb 28, I think your book will be the perfect gifty. MWA!

That was a beautiful description of your mother's memorial. It made me cry, not just from sadness, but the beauty of the sea and the music and the dedication page being tossed in the water--all so thoughtful. Thank you for sharing.

The celebration for your mom is so moving to read...
I feel sadness and peace, and above all, so much love.

I wish you and Lala, the best from France where I still dream every day of my years in San Francisco ...
xoxo, yan

I just pre-ordered the book and can't wait.
Have a great coming year.

Happy new year to you and Lala, and the fuzzy ones, of course. And thanks for the Avett Brothers suggestion (on the PensFatales site). I've bought one album (MP3 download from Amazon) and have been loving it.

Happy New Year to all in the Hehu household. I enjoy reading your blog and am looking forward to the release of your novel in March.

All the best in MMX!

Happy New Year! with many hugs

And just as it did during the year your summary has made me smile, cry, and laugh out loud.
Here's to a 2010 that outshines in joy the very best of any year to have happened to us all yet!!!
