I'm So ExcitedJanuary 21, 2010

And no, you guessed right. I just can't hide it.

Romantic Times gave How to Knit a Love Song four stars, calling it "intricate and clever" with "down-home sense." (If only that were MY description. Wouldn't it be lovely to be described like that?)

Let me explain, my knittin' chickens. Reviews don't matter. That's what they say. And someday, I like to think they won't matter to me. People buy books because they're in the store, or because someone (a friend) tells them about them.

But I was worried about this review. This was the one I was waiting for. I feel like I can exhale now.

Yah and also Hoo!! Have been bugging the local library to order eleventy-seven copies and now I have more ammo!

You rock...that's all there is to that!

Congratulations! That's awesome!

Congratulations on the wonderful review! Well deserved, obviously!

But you are intricate and clever with down home sense (especially in Beth's hat- tres downhome chic!). Congrats and MWAH!

Awesome. I'm so happy for you!

you look good in that hat. i'd confiscate it, were i you. ;)

p.s. YAY good review but also: hello I was EXPECTING that good of one. I mean, I WAS!! :)

You SO have it together, Rachael, looks AND brains. Congrats on the wonderful review! Cannot wait to read it!!! Hugs.

Congrats! Thats awesome.

Congratulations!
And speaking as a librarian, I will say that professional reviews matter a lot in helping us make purchasing decisions, so good reviews will help get your book into public libraries!

Yay!!!

I have a surgery cap with knitting chickens on it. You know this, right?

So exciting! Tell me again how I go about getting a copy sooner rather than later?
Oh, and I need to borrow Beth's hat, give her my address please.

You know what's crazy? I have never met you and I think I have only commented here a handful of times, but I have been reading your blog for almost 6 years now and I am just so, so happy for you. Just the other day I caught myself thinking about it while doing other things. I don't even think I've ever read a romance novel, but it is so cool to see someone have a dream and achieve it.

Congratulations! Very cool news and, yeah, it would be great if it didn't matter but . . . we're human, we like to hear that we're wonderful. Have a great time at the launch party! (We're moving back to the Bay Area soon, but, probably not soon enough to make it to the party -- rats!)

Congrats! I am so very excited to read your book. Two more months!

That hat is HOT on you!
Oh yeah, good on you about the book, too...
I'm buying my copy as soon as I can!

That is so awesome. I can not wait to read it.

That hat really suits you. Nice review too!

Hi there! These are great comments for a first published novel! I am not a reader of romance novels but certainly will read your first one with interest and curiosity. Your smile under Beth's hat is gracious. You have achieved some of your dreams and are certainly pleased, Rachael. Bravo! xx

Most excellent.

Reviews DO matter - if they matter to you - and that is awesome. BTW, you look very clever and intricate in that hat! ; ) Congrats!

Wow! Congratulations, that's awesome. You look great in that hat, btw.

Woo Hoo!!!
