BOOK RELEASE DAY! March 1, 2011
All the excited words and exlamation marks can't tell you how over-the-moon I am that How to Knit a Heart Back Home is out today. YOU all know. It's been a long road, and it's been a whole YEAR since the first book came out -- can you believe that? I've been a published novelist for a year. And you know what? This morning, I'll wake up and make coffee and wander around the house, and nothing will have really changed, except that my book is out in the wild, making its own way, and I can't help it at all. It has to fend for itself.
That doesn't stop me from loving it, though. I love it so hard that I wrote a little song about it and played it on the uke for you. (And only with you, darling readers, will I share the link for the outtakes. Ahem.)
DRAWING! PRIZES!
Like last year, I'm going to have a little drawing.
In order to be entered, just post a review (good, bad, or middlin') of my new book on any website: Amazon, B&N, Goodreads, or your own blog, by April 1st. Email me when you do, and I'll put you in the raffle!

Two runner-up prizes: $25 Barnes & Noble gift certificates
Grand prize: a $50 Barnes & Noble gift certificate
AND a handwoven scarf made just for you! (Choose your color; I'm having so much fun with my new Schacht Cricket loom!) It would look something like the scarf on the right, but you don't want that one, because it was my first and is a little bit wonky. (Also, I'll kick in a four-pack of Cadbury Creme Eggs, because everyone should have some this time of year.)
So. YAY! I seriously can't wait to hear what you think. (And I think I'll sleep in today, burrowing under the covers, reading a romance, hoping for the best.) ENJOY!

You = Rockstar. xoxo

Awesome song! Very impressive! Are you going to do this with each book you write? If you do then you can produce a CD to go along with the book! lol Loved it. Looking forward to the book loved the first one!

Now you are mkaing want to get a Cricket!!! I have already posted over on Facebook about how you are on Robyn Carr's blog today. I just finished Robyn's latest book. And now to move on to your new book. A very good time for reading.
And I may have mentioning something about a fiber bribe over on the blog post on Robyn Carr's blog. So if you are still undecided about trying to come to MDS&W this year, I vote that you should. I will even pull out the drum carder and create some luxery batts for you. Silk, camel, and who knows what else? And they smoosh down so they will fit in your suitcase. Just saying.......

That's just too cute. I love the song and I got the book this morning via whispernet on Kindle. I'm already into the 3rd chapter and loving it already. Oh, I would also like to let you know that I've read your short story as well. I thought it was just great and very funny. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.

Happy book day! Now, where to buy....

Here's the review I posted to B&N and Amazon:
That rare sequel that is even better than the first book!
Rachael Herron has done it again -- and even better than the first time! The characters are very believable, and make you want to root for them. Who could resist the tried-and-true good girl/bad boy romance? With more mystery, and less suspense, How to Knit a Heart Back Home is even more to my liking than How to Knit a Love Song. And the HUMOR -- Lucy's mother reminds me of (Janet Evanovich's) Stephanie Plum's Grandma Mazur! I very much look forward to Rachael's third book in the series, due out this fall.
I mean every word, Sweetie! The book was WONDERFUL!!!
Hugs...

Today!!!!
Will save the song for home. A safer place.
Posted by: Gwen | Tuesday, March 01, 2011 at 11:55
Loved the song! I'm so amazed when poetry (especially song lyrics) can tell an entire story in a few lines -- that's a rare skill. And I admit that I like my poetry/songs to rhyme... Can't wait to read the new book. Congratulations!

Due to a severe lack of Internet in Big Bear, I overcame my horrible carsickness and read from the instant the wireless on my phone kicked on long enough to download my kindle copy.
Oh man. This is so so good. Dare I say I like it even more than the first?? It's hard to tell actually. I'll post my review on Amazon tomorrow but for now please just know how much I love it. I can't wait for the next one; I have no idea how but I know you'll make it so worth it.
