Cromarty
She is finished. Hot damn, she's freaking done!

Specs:
Pattern: Alice Starmore's Cromarty, from the book Celtic Collection
Yarn: Koigu Kersti merino, in a shade that has defied duplication (trust me on this one)
Needles: 1(US), because I'm out of my mind.
Yarn Provider: The Threadbear Boys.
I'd show you the back, but it's just more of the same. I tried to get the obligatory lying in on bed shot, but this is all that wanted to show up. The camera kept getting all the squiggles confused.

And a few more friends, because after working on this off and on (as yarn allowed) for eight MONTHS, it's just 'bout time to break out the bubbly. The Double-barrelled Em:

That is so very, incredibly beautiful. i have started so many of those sweaters and i always put em aside. i admire the fact you actaully finished! and out of koigu! WOW!! ITS INCREDIBLE

So very very lovely! How long does it take to recover after such a marathon effort? In other words, are you planning what's next or just basking in the glow....

it's absolutely stunning, I would never be able to finnish sutch a sweater, and it's knit on size3 needles, wauw. I would have gone mad after one sleeve. Love it!!!!

Beautiful! I found your blog when searching for information about Rowan DDK, as I have been drooling over the Cromarty. I actually found your post about running out of yarn, and was wondering how many skeins you eventually had to use to finish the sweater?
I'm going to have to add this sweater onto my wishlist, and keep my eye out for sales on nice DK yarn. Considering how much trouble you had with running short on yarn, I want to buy a ton more than the pattern calls for, and that will be very expensive. :-(

I have knitted this sweater but chose the wrong yarn. I'm now certain I will knit it again with koigu kersti. It's beautiful!
Do you remember the color number?
Bye,
Natasja.

I am blown away.... Absolutely blown away. Looking at pictures like that give me hope that ANYTHING can be done. Stunning. Koigu is my new favorite yarn! Proof, it's not just for socks anymore ladies and gentlemen!
